CMS...where kids care! heart

• ASB and Leadership class have declared February "Hope for Haiti Month." Students can donate spare change to be sent to the Red Cross and other relief organizations. Envelopes are in each homeroom. Activites will take place each week to raise awareness.
• Girl Scout Troup 30578 will hold a Bake Sale for Haiti on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
• Two fifth grade students are collectiing pet items for the SPCA. Place donated leashes, dog/cat brushes, shampoo, etc. in the box in front of the school office.

Sequoia HS Ophelia mentors meet with 6th grade students. Parents are encouraged to talk with their student about waht they learned. Be on the looklut for information from the "Ohelia Moms" about talking points you can use with your child after their session with the high school mentors.

Earn free money for CMS! Place your clipped boxtop labels in an envelope with your child's grade on the envelope. Each grade level will earn spirit points for their level of participation. We're over halfway to beating last year's earnings of $700 (each label is worth 10 cents). Here is a list of participating products that carry the Boxtops labels.

Middle School Dance

Valentine's Day Dance is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Advanced ticket sales only. $5/student. Tickets on sale now at the Youth Center from 3-6 pm Monday through Friday. Students must show ID when purchasing ticket and when entering the dance. Sponsored in partnership with the San Carlos Youth Advisory Council.
